Simply the best place to stay in Paris
68 Rue De Rivoli, Paris IV, Ile-de-France (681954)
.
What you see in the pictures is exactly what you are going to get. lovely and welcoming french decor. Very neat and clean. Bathroom and kitchen appliances are new and in well condition. The owners invested a lot of love into this place, and it definitely paid off, from day one til the day we left, we felt at home. My husband, my mother, daughters and I stayed in this apartment for 2 months and we were very comfortable and happy. The location is superb! the neighborhood Le Marais is charming, trendy restaurants, bars, lots of shopping stores, parks, etc. You got everything you need at walking distance. The metro is only 20 ft away from the front door of the building. We didn't watch TV once, all you need is to open the windows and you will be very entertained. There is always an outdoor event at the city hall. Yet, you close the windows and you are in complete silence and privacy of your home. The owner was very nice and prompt with responses to all my inquires and needs from the first day I contacted through email. So happy we will be heading back same days in 2013. I didn't need to search for any other place.

From the first time I contacted the owner, Jean-Michel, the correspondence was always prompt and informative. I have visited Paris four times previous, so I knew the location was prime. The apartment fulfilled our expectations plus more. In addition to being spotless, it truly is a beautiful apartment filled with the lovely furniture and decor you see in the pictures. Another couple accompanied us and the room off of the living room served them well. For privacy they would close the living room door to the hall/kitchen which also gave them more space. The bedroom was lovely with ample closet and storage space. The windows pretty much keep out the sound, but at night you can close the shutters which further drowns out the sound. While we were there, it happened to be the Saturday night when Paris stays open all night --- like a big party. Since we were older, we did not party till the wee hours, but from the windows, we did get get a front row, but when it was time to sleep, we were not disturbed by the noise. The kitchen is modern and has everything you want to make your stay comfortable. The washer and dryer is a godsend when you are traveling with small suitcases. The beds are very comfortable and you can adjust the room air to the level you find comfortable. The neighborhood, Marais, was filled with restaurants and charm. We loved wandering the streets to find the restaurant where we would eat. If you forget anything, there is a Department store nearby. We loved the apartment and would return.

We had the perfect Paris vacation beginning with the beautiful view (Notre Dame and Hotel de Ville) from our window to the wonderful accommodations at this lovely apartment. It really felt like home. Every morning for breakfast Bob went downstairs to the cafe and returned with a cafe au lait and a delicious croissant/pastry du jour. The metro was literally outside our door. The neighborhood was full of activity with locals going about their daily lives. We felt like Parisians for 10 days. If you are looking for a great location and wonderful owners, stay here... you will love it. A special message to Jean-Michel and Nicole Pique --- Thank you for a memorable vacation. We hope to return again.
Jean-Michel,

I am unable to post the following on Abritel.fr because it is a bit too long, but I wanted to share with you my review of your flats and your service (both outstanding!).  As I told Jean-Gabriel, next time I visit Paris I will surely rent from you again!

Here is my review:
I cannot say enough good things about these flats and about Jean-Michel, the owner, and Jean-Gabriel, his son.

I set out on a search for a flat big enough to accommodate 3 of us and first found the Lafayette flat.  Much to my chagrin, that flat had already been rented, but Jean-Michel was kind enough to let me know that the other two (Printemps and Louvre) were available for the dates I was looking (Thanksgiving week).  Jean-Michel mentioned that they could be rented together or separately and could each accommodate 3-4 people.  Upon discussions with my travel partners, and because the flats are adjoining, we came to the conclusion that the best thing would be to rent them both -- giving me and my partner and our travel buddy privacy when we wanted.

Although I have rented out several flats in my travels, there’s always a bit of hesitancy when doing so.  Jean-Michel laid all of my worries at ease.  He answered all of my questions thoroughly and was always available when more questions arose.  He described the flats perfectly to me and was kind enough to even reserve them for a period of 3 days whilst we made our minds up.

I have been lucky enough to have been to Paris on multiple occasions, so I know the City pretty well.  My partner and our friend had never been to Paris, so I tried looking for a place that was centrally located, manageable for a first-time visitor.  And, there’s no better situated flat!  Sitting on the Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, facing both the l’Hôtel de Ville and Notre-Dame de Paris is a fantastic place to be … and a fantastic view to have every day.  The Métro was just outside the door, giving you access to all of the underground system.  Across the Seine (a 5-7 minute walk) was the RER system giving you access to the airports, Versailles and other destinations outside of Paris.

The flats are also at the crossroads of Le Marais and Les Halles, giving you ample choices for shopping, sightseeing, walking and eating/drinking (which comes in very handy late at night as the Métro closes a bit too early for my liking (around 12 a.m. on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends) and there are very few cabs available late at night (a Parisian friend of mine mentioned that cabs don’t like to take small fares at night, they’d rather sit out and wait for the big fare or simply go to the airport/train stations and wait for fares there)).

Both flats are very well-appointed, each with their own ensuite WC and bath/shower.  Each also has a small kitchen, allowing you to cook at home when you tire of eating out.  There are several Monoprix and other small grocery stores allowing one to get any necessities one needs.  All towels, linens, cutlery and dishware were spotless.  And the welcome basket with cookies and wine was fantastic.

All in all, this trip to Paris was simply amazing, made much more so by the fact that we enjoyed the flat so much.  I communicated to Jean-Gabriel on the last night that whenever I return to Paris I will be sure to re-let these flats.

Merci!
Always / Siempre,
George
Bon jour Jean-Michel,
In life, too often, our expectations are met with disappointment. My family and I would like to thank you for renting us an apartment that surpassed our expectations. You can't imagine how surprised and happy we were when the taxi stopped in front of the "white door", directly across from the Hotel de Ville, and all of the energetic evening activity. Then, to enter the apartment, and see the towers of Notre Dame in our window...it was wonderful! The apartment was lovely, comfortable, and perfect for our family...and the bed was much more comfortable than those in Italy!  And, thanks so much for the bottle of wine!
Our four days in Paris were busy, and full of adventure: Notre Dame; Saint Chappelle; the Louvre ( I don't understand why the Mona Lisa gets so much attention - there are many more interesting pieces of art); the Musee D'Orsay ( my favorite, I love the Impressionists ); a stroll up the Champs Elysee from the jardines to the Arc de Triumph, then back down on the other side of the street; 2 trips to the top of the Arc de Triumph; a ride on the grande roue (expensive, but memorable); a delightful boat tour on the Seinne; and, of course, a trip to the top of the Eifel Tower, just as day was turning to night. We also enjoyed exploring the streets in the vicinity of the apartment, pastry from Gwen's (around the corner), and discovering many places to shop, browse, or take a snack and a glass of wine. And, we ate five excellent suppers.
Our week in Italy was great fun, the wedding of my daughter was unforgettable, and Florence was charming, but Paris is...Paris! It is still my favorite big city in the world, and I think that it made a similar impression on my kids. We all enjoyed being among the French people. For me, I am determined to not wait another ten years until I return, and when I do, I am hoping that the Printemps will be available again.
I believe that we left the apartment in fine condition. All of the equipment was in good order, we stripped the linen, and left the used towels in the bathroom. Please let me know if there was any problem. Let me know when you are ready to run the final charge, and I will call my bank to make sure that they allow it.
Thank you again, Jean-Michel, for making the rental of the apartment so simple, and for providing such a perfect accomodation. I hope, next time, to meet you.
Very Cordially Yours,
John Graham

Hello Mr. Picq!
My husband and son stayed in your apartment on Rue de Rivoli from July 8th-15th. I have been meaning to say thank you for being so flexible when our flight was canceled and letting us adjust our dates in your apartment. Working with you was very nice and they were wonderful. Your apartment was beautiful and provided a very comfortable and relaxing vacation.  We will keep you in mind when we return to Paris and be sure to pass your information on to any friends visiting. Thank you!

This is a very nice apartment located right next to Hotel de Ville. The view is exactly what is shown in the picture on this website. Lovely. Great location with a Metro stop right outside the door, and grocery stores, shops, and great restaurants around the corner. Three blocks from Centre Pompidou.

The apartment is clean, updated, and well maintained with a separate room with sink/cabinet, shower, and laundry, separate toilette, a small but nicely equipped kitchen, and a living area that flows into a bedroom. Note: only a half wall separates those last two rooms, though we did not find that a problem. One can take the RER from CDG to St.Michel/Notre Dame stop. It is about 10 minute walk from there If you walk from right outside front of Notre Dame straight toward the Hotel di Ville you are headed straight toward the building. ( I wish we had been told that; we were not sure where it was exactly). If you have lots of luggage you might taxi as we did. 8-9 Euro.

The owners Jean-Michel and Nicole greeted us and could not have been nicer or more helpful. Left a bottle of wine and of champagne to welcome us!

Highly recommended!
